Sharing innovations in financing tools for business!

We’re excited to announce our AgPlus Funders Forum will now be on Tuesday, December 12, in Davis at University of California, Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources!

The purpose of the event is to share innovations in financing tools for business, discussing the policy priorities needed to advance access to capital for Ag businesses in the Central Valley.

The day will feature keynote speeches and policy discussions based on an update of the 2012 Capital Access Report by California Financial Opportunities Roundtable (calFOR).

The report highlights financial needs for businesses in California, with specific focus on investment vehicles/asset classes and how they are potentially relevant to achieving rural economic development goals, and provides policy recommendations to be implemented.

Glenda Humiston, vice president of UC Division of Ag and Natural Resources, will moderate this policy discussion, which will include members of the original calFOR team.

We will conclude the day with a working session focusing on current roadblocks to identify policy priorities.
