Please join us to hear results of a major new study on industrial maintenance and repair technicians. This occupation covers a key set of middle-skill technical roles that support manufacturing, industrial, and distribution/wholesale supply chain facilities. The study is based on a focus group and survey of employers throughout the Northern California and San Joaquin Valley regions, conducted by the Los Rios Center of Excellence.

The Manufacturing Cluster faces major skills gaps. Valley Vision, as part of its mission to support the 21st-century talent pipeline for the Capital Region, has partnered with the Los Rios Center of Excellence to discuss these key findings, Your input is needed to validate study findings and identify priorities for education and workforce investments and partnerships that will meet industry needs for this important cluster!

Information will include:

State of the manufacturing and industrial technician workforce
Automation and advanced technology and workforce needs
Key skills and types of equipment and machinery technicians need
Workforce demands to impact operational capacity
Pipeline opportunity for students, faculty, and employers

Lunch will be provided.
